Since he was first elected in 2005, Michael has dedicated himself to improving the quality of life for all citizens of District 4. Whether it's a pothole, barking dog, street light outage, public safety concern, city services concern or any number of other matters, he has responded to the needs of the people of District 4.
Over his two terms on the City Council, Michael has worked hard to protect the interests of the people of District 4.
He's done this by, among other things:
- Opposing and defeating numerous apartment projects in the District;
- Defeating a 100 ft tall sign for the new IKEA store;
- Getting more police officers for the District;
- Pushing developers for more higher end housing.
- Refusing to allow developers to destroy the tree buffers along I-85 and WT Harris Blvd.
Below are links to various programs that Michael has been a part of over the last few years. They give you a glimpse into what he has been doing and will continue to try to do to improve the District.
